Can villagers from other towns know you?

My bff is getting the game soon and We will both be eachothers best friends in the game. If i visit her town a lot, will the villagers in the town remember me or vice versa?

If you talk to them (Or not) and they move to your town they'll remember you visited their town and convinced them to move to yours or they moved to your town without asking them. That's one, dunno about the others.

If you talk to the villagers when you first visit someone's elses town they will remember you the next time you go and talk to them again.

You can also write letters to the villagers in those towns!!
And yeah they'll remember you~

Just go to the persons post office and write the letter in the other town (in this case your bffs town)

Yes They'll remember you on your next visits if you talk to them. They'll also mention you in conversation with your friend sometimes, saying they saw you or asking when you'll visit again.

But anyway, sometimes when I talk to my villagers they tell me about people that used to visit htem in their old town. It's so cute!

If they're currently in your town, they won't recognize you in another. HOWEVER! If they moved out recently, they will recognize you until you complete their 16-villager cycle.

YESss it's really cute. Every time you come over they'll remember you from your last visit (if you talked to them) :3

They also recognize you in dreams! First you have to visit them in their town (real life, not dream town). Then visit your bff's dream address and the villagers say something like "oh, <player name>! I hoped you'd visit again, but I didn't expect to see you in my dreams."

well, some of my villagers mentioned other players saying that they talked to them and they would love to talk to them more in their next visit so yeah

oh, plus! if you had a villager move to another town or if you get a villager move to your town from another town, they will always remember their original town's tune and will sing it fro time to time :3

Also, if you dream of your friends town, the villagers will still remember you even in the dream! It's really cute, they say things like "Oh Jessie, I hoped I'd see you again, but I never thought it would be in my dreams!" I do this with my friends towns if we haven't been able to visit each other for a while ^_^

my gf visited recently and we both have Chrissy in our towns, and she mentioned something about knowing my gf from another life (it was my gf's first time meeting my Chrissy), which was silly and cute.
