Can Special Villager Amiibo cards summon their RVs?

I'm only asking this because there are a few Special Villagers that I wanna possess, but I only have 8 Animal Crossing Amiibos. I'm still missing a lot more. And the only thing I can do to make this work now is by Amiibo cards. But will that even work the same way you use Amiibo figures?

do special npcs with multiple cards (k.k., isabelle, nooklings) give multiple variant pics, or just a single pic across all cards?

I'd guess the latter, but just want to be sure

I just tried Isabelle's cards she only gives you one picture the first time. I tried all 4 of her cards and after the first one she just gives you random items.
