Can someone explain this?

Ok, this seems quite farfetch'd, and if my friend told me his 3DS did this, I'd find it very hard to believe unless I saw proof lol.

Anywho, I was playing ACNL, and I turned my volume down. To my surprise, the volume didn't even actually turn down at all? Even though it was pushed down completely.
I thought this was weird, and didn't want to have a broken voume button, so I quickly saved my game, and turned of my DS for a minute or two hoping that might fix it. I should add that my power button light (along with the WiFI light) wasn't on, even though the system itself was on (Keep in mind that I have the New XL model so I could see the power LED right above the power button, and I know it wasn't showing like I should have.)
I turned on my DS Soon after, and everything seemed normal. I went back onto Animal Crossing, and saw it was raining it my town on the start-up screen. Weird, it was completely fine just one minute ago. I saw Isabelle and she said to me that the time was _____ pm (cant remember now), on the __ of March, 2016.

I'm so glad I noticed the time error before I loaded up, otherwise I would have one hell of a mess to clean up lol.
(I should add that I ALWAYS play on the right day, and I know for a fact that today was no exception.)

Anyone else ever had a weird 3DS freakout?

My sister's DS fell so many times, so sometimes when she turned it on it would say that the date was 1st January, 2000.
If your DS is kinda old it happens, but it can be fixed easily :3

lol my partner's 3DS does the same. His DS messed up and went to January 2034.
It went back to 2016 too one time! He wasn't fortunate and didn't catch Isabelle say he had to go forward a year and lose flowers!

Have you tried getting it fixed? I'd say it's a ribbon you need to put back in place, that's what happened with my New 3DS' analogue stick, and it's not quite as complicated as it sounds!

My town in the Phillippines dont have a 3ds repair shop because they focus on other gadgets like iphones smh.
But I do this trick to hibernate my 3ds and get it normal again. I just have to not play it in a month.
