Other than the fact that she is new and doesnt have an amiibo, I want to understand why people like judy. I guess the same could be said for Raymond.
I bought Judy off someone yesterday because I had way too many NMTs and happened to have a free plot. Didn't really have interested in her beforehand, but was kinda just curious. Going to see how it goes with her, and if I don't like her, maybe I'll give her away after awhile.

I suppose it's just opinions. Personally she doesn't do anything for me, so I don't get the hype, but that's just my opinion. (And it saves me from wanting a highly sought out expensive villager, which is always good!)

She's not my personal favorite, but she's not ugly by any means in my opinion. I mean she looks like a cotton candy bear QuQ

Sparkly anime eyes~ <3

I think she's pretty. I certainly would't mind having her in my village, but I feel that way about dozens and dozens of villagers.

I like her color scheme and I think her shojo manga style eyes probably appeal to a lot of fer fans.

Well, I just found her on a Mystery Island a moment ago and decided to invite her, she's overall kinda cool looking with her three colored fur. And I must admit, her shocked face is kinda funny.

Same question can be asked about literally any villager. Since they are all just different pixels with the same dialog trees when it comes to personalities ... so it all just comes down to personal preference.

Majority of the Animal Crossing players are girls. You have a pastel multi-colored character that is mostly pink... sort of a big thing to that demographic. Also small/average height, which is again a big thing for that demographic wanting something "small and adorable." She also has a unique design with her eyes being all anime-like, perfect for weebs =p. So with all that, she hits a lot of people who make up a big part of the animal crossing audience well.
Obviously, more than just that general audience want her for *insert x reason(s)* and those who are part of the demographic don't like her for *insert their own reason*. This is why it just comes down to personal preferences, aesthetics, and/or attachments.

I'd like to have her if she is peppy. But I don't think Snooty really "fits" her look so it's a no for me.

Seriously those eyes creep me out. I’m more for a natural look, like Bluebear, Poncho, Kody, Cheri etc. I don’t even understand the appeal of Stitches.

I think she's cute. I like the way she looks. That being said, I have yet to meet her in game personally, but I would say based on her design alone she appeals to many people because she's pastel and has starry eyes.

I have met her on an island before. I do think she looks better in game than in photos. Still a no for me tho

She gives me giant anime vibes, especially her eyes and catchphrase. And I really love her fur colors, such a beautiful gradient~
But it's just my opinion - it's okay if someone don't like her
