Can someone explain TBT and IGB to me?

While I am a long time Animal Crossing player, I am totally new to the belltreeforums
This is what I think I understand so far:
IGB=In game bells
TBT=Bells attained on these forums...?

Are you able to convert TBT to IGB?
And if so then how?

What is the purpose of TBT? I am trying to navigate where I can spend them on here but totally cannot figure it out.

Sorry if this is not the right place to post this, I am just a little lost.

tbt ('the bell tree' dunno why its not btb - bell tree bells lmao) are forum bells you obtain by posting - you can spend them on collectibles from the shop / buy collectibles that arent in store from other users

most are selling igb for tbt, the convert system is up to the seller

lots of high quality shops in the nooks cranny forum are selling rare items / diys / materials / etc. so you could go crazy spending

Hi! IGB: In Game Bells/ TBT: Bell Tree Currency (so yes your bells on this forum) you can buy a lot of most anything with TBT, keep a look out other users will sell items bells etc. Welcome ^_^
