Can Someone Explain moving?

I just got on AC new leaf and Diana ping me, she said she wanted to move and that really bran me to shock. I was giving her items, letters, nick names, and I wondered on the 15th day she was here, why did she want to move? I am even more confused because I haven't talked to Elmer for 2 months and she/he STILL loves it here?

It's said that it may have to do with friendship. More friendship means that they are more likely to move out. It's increased by completing favors, talking to them, sending them letters with their favorite items, etc.
