can new villager homes wipe out bamboo??

I've had new villagers move in on top of flowers, and I had one wipe out a perfect fruit tree. But curiously, even though Ive got a huge bamboo forest in my town, nobody has ever set up house on top of any bamboo, i find it very odd. does anybody know- is bamboo off limits for some reason?? if so, that may be a way to protect other items from new random house plots...

They can wipe out trees as well as bushes and flowers, so yes.

Sounds interesting, though I would have assumed they could squash bamboo since the only things I'm aware of that can prevent villagers from moving in are public works projects and other buildings. You don't happen to have said bamboo in a funny location, do you?

I had two villagers move in back to back and destroy the bamboo forest i was working on, so yes xD

no, its the whole river bank on one side of the bottom waterfall. ive got hybrid flowers stashed in/around it because the villagers never really wander around over there.

I'll second this. I have an all bamboo town and they definitely will move in and destroy your bamboo trees.

Basically they can wipe out almost everything except rocks

♥ I was tt a lot and my bamboo grew out of control,
and Diana came and plotted right on top of my bamboo chaos and helped me clean up the mess.
So yes, villagers can plot over bamboos c: ♥

Yes, they can and it's really annoying when you have a nice bamboo garden and then someone plots their house right on top of it!

Villagers can put there house on top of the Bamboo. The only thing they can't get rid of are rocks, buildings and PWP's.
