Can I have 2 ACNL game cartridges for 1 DS?

Hi. So I was thinking of getting another copy of ACNL so I can start a new town. Would I be able to play this copy on my DS where my other copy is played? And if it is possible, would both copies be able to connect to the Internet - visit other towns etc (as both would have the same FC?)

Hoping someone out there already does this and can tell me! Thanks.

Yes, you can have two game's and have two separate towns etc, however the FC will be the same as the FC is tied into the console it's self, not AC:NL.

Even with one FC you can still connect to the internet, visit, etc. I have 2 cartridges on one DS and have had no probs with that.

Yes you will be just fine with 2 different game carts. I personally have one digital copy (free from Club Nintendo) and a Physical copy I've had for a long time and even though this is a bit different from having two physical copies it's really the same other than the digital copy is always safely on my 3DS. Otherwise everything works just fine. ^.^

Just remember that if you change the 3DS clock to TT (which you shouldn't ever need to do except during seasonal time changes), it will affect both towns.
