Can a secondary character plot their house over a PWP? - UPDATED

I want to block a spot from villager move-ins, but will need it to plot a secondary character for plot resetting. If I have a PWP (probably just the gyroid), can my character plot over it? I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, but I just want to double-check.

I'm pretty sure you can't plot over pwps. Villagers can't plot over them either

Yes, a character can plot over it. It's one of the best ways to get rid of excess PWPs.
(villagers can't though)

Yes you can.... but it can't be something like the camping ground or the cafe e.c.t....


I have tried it before... it is a cheap way to get rid of extra pwp for free....

however animal villagers can't

UPDATE: It didn't work. Nook just kept telling me that a PWP was in the way and there wasn't room for future expansions. This is where I always place my characters home after plot resetting, so I know there's enough room. Maybe it won't let a 4th character do it for some reason? I don't know. I ended up putting my houses somewhere else, but I lost some trees in the process.
