Can 2 villagers be in boxes at the same time without causing a glitch?

So I’ve been waiting for weeks to have a visitor at the campsite and offcourse it happens today when I have a villager in boxes.

Can I invite the camper and let someone else also go in boxes without causing the “forever in boxes” glitch?

Also if someone adopts my current villager in boxes, will it be no problem to put another in boxes through the campsite?

Any glitches involved with this have already been patched out I've done this with no problems.
