So I know, I know, you can demolish it. Of course, I can't stand the placement now :/ I saw a campsite reset trick, but I don't know exactly what it does. My question is, can I somehow move it? If so, how?
Campsites are permanent and cannot be moved. The campsite reset trick you are referring to is used to reset the camper (visiting villager) in an attempt to find a desirable villager to move in or sell.
Well it depends. If you've made a lot of progress on your town and have obtained some dreamies, I'd say just learn to live with it like I have. I put my campsite close to town hall because well I've just always done that. Dunno why. I'm not a big fan of the placement but I've learned to deal with it.
But if your town is relatively new and you don't have much attachment to it, then maybe restarting will be a smart option. Just bear in mind that your campsite is one of many decisions you'll need to make. If you do want to restart, I'd highly suggest carefully planning out your next town so you won't dislike the next one.
But honestly, really, I think learning to live with the flaws is part of the game. I mean I plot reset and such, but my town is far from perfect because even with plot resetting you still don't get the perfect plot placement. I just moved Bunnie in and she only chose maybe 2 plots I could deal with. Moving her in caused a lot of destruction, but a few days of hard work has gotten Loki back onto its feet~
Idk...I like my town for what it is. I do find myself drooling over other towns, but none of them are Loki. None of them are my hard work. None of them are my special villagers. None of them have Lobo and his little flower field by the waterfall. All of that is mine and despite how much I've longed for perfection, I've learned to value the little things, the flaws, and the memories so much more.
So maybe instead of taking it all back, try to work around the placement and make it look pretty. Some future PWPs like the hammock and the log bench can really compliment the campsite, and when in doubt you can always utilize QR patterns and greenery.
Thank you! I'm upset that it ended up so close to a villagers house, a river, and a cliff.. lol. I can't put much around it because of that. I find myself in awe at other peoples towns also.. It's probably just a "the grass is always greener on the other side" type of feeling. The most I'm worried about losing is really just progress with stores, and museum things and whatnot. I worked so hard on it. Recently I've been working on making my town look a lot nicer and I noticed how much I hate the campsite placement. Although, maybe I could learn to live with it if I work with it a little bit. I'll probably take some more time to see if I really can't get over it. Thank you for the advice, again. Means a lot!
