Campsite villager moved into old villagers house but I didn't TT....

what the heck!? This is the second glitch I've experienced and I'm real peeved.

I got purrl from a campsite (not via amiibo card) and she replaced tabby. That was two days ago,I didn't play yesterday, and now purrl is just living in Tabbys house.
Haven't seen the interior yet. Purrl's outside. I guess this has something to do with me not playing yesterday but I didn't TT at all.

I DO have a tabby amiibo card. I don't want to kick out purrl because she's one of my favorite villagers but if I put tabby elsewhere on the island is there any evidence that would fix things or would things just get glitchier

there's your issue.

if you don't load your game on the day that the plot is empty (the day after the camper asks to move in), then the exterior will glitch.
essentially what you did was the same as TTing two days forward on accident, and the exterior glitched.

the only way to fix it would be to move purrl out and move her back in.

yeah that glitch, more than time traveling, is caused due to skipping the boxes stage of a move in, meaning, skipping the day when the new villager moves in and is unboxing. I think the only way to fix it is to move out purrl? and then adopt her again.

what a frustrating oversight by nintendo. glitches involving tting i understand but glitches without is below the quality I expect from them.
