So this has already happened to me twice in my main town. I have a villager who lives near my campsite, so if I start up my game and they?re the one walking around, I could see if there is someone at the campsite. So I would start up my game and I would see that someone is camping, but when I leave my house and roam around town, the villager is gone. I haven?t seen a campsite villager in weeks because 1) I don?t play every day on that town and 2) this glitch prevents them from appearing. Both times I have seen the campsite in the title screen they wouldn?t be there when I start up, is that from the game refreshing when I start? I?m not completely sure why I won?t see them.
Unfortunately, the start up screen does not always show things the way they will be when you log in. I've seen villager plots on the start up screen only to log in and find no new villager or the plot in a different place. Nothing is set in stone until you actually log into your town.
Unfortunately the start up screen isn't always true. You may appear to have a villager in the campsite, but when you load up your game, it may or may not be there. It's kinda weird how it does that, so don't always trust the start up screen. :/
The start up screen is not allawys true. I see villages come out of their houses, but when I get into the game, they are no-where to be found. I also have not had a villager in my campsite for a week, so I think it is common for villagers not to show up at the campsite for a few weeks.
