I spend the last hour trying to get my camper Benedict to move in place of Billy who doesn't have his regular house. Whitney came up 3 times and Vivian twice for example. I'm pretty sleepy as I missed my afternoon nap today but I have to see this through. Its day 32 for me and I only had one villager ask to move out so it be a long time before Billy ever move out on his own.

Why did Nintendo make this so hard? It would be very nice if we could just choose who we want to replace from the start.

Also what are your thought on Benedict?

The campsite sounds so frustrating that I just don't want to bother with it. I'm sorry that you've been struggling with the difficult system that Nintendo put in place for this installment.

I had Pheobe the Phoenix in my campsite and I wanted to get Vivian in boxes (However she WAS my most recent move in) and I tried a good hour of attempting to get her to move in place of Vivian and well after a while I was just like "Forget this" And kicked Vivian out with my Genji amiibo card and gave up on Pheobe lol

I have to agree that inviting campers is a total pain and that it is entirely based on luck.

I've had instances where villagers who I like the most are those that give me the most trouble.

Haha yeah when I actually want them to move in theyre like "Lets play this card game and never mind I dont wanna move here let me repeat the same dialogue 50 times before mentioning moving here but you have to win this card game which is based on luck)

It’s super annoying. You can spend 30 minutes trying to win card games then they next time you invite them, they accept. I miss charades!

yep, this was me 2 days ago... took at least an hour of losing games, the villager repeating the same dialog over and over again before they would bring up the game or ask about moving in... only for them to run through 7 or 8 of the villagers names, except the one i was dying to get rid of. it's an extremely painful way to get rid of someone as a non-TT player.

Sometimes i am glad i only got campers i dont like, because this process sure does sound annoying and depressing according to you guys XD At least it is gonna feel rewarding in the end, i assume.

trying to move in villagers via campsite sounds like such a pain which is why i’ll probably never try it lmao. as for benedict, he’s not bad but i don’t really care for him lmao

I had Benedict years ago and really liked him
Also while the campsite seems like a pain in the rng on the surface, it could be worse, they could have kept the mechanic where you couldn't even try to move in a camper if you didn't have an open spot. (this is me trying to see the positive given I'm not sure how else I could hope to get raymond in)

I didn’t get Benedict in the end, Billy was never mentioned in 1.5 hours. Marina came up twice, my goodness Samson came up 5 times and he is my newest villager and I haven’t even had time to interact with him much due to terraforming. I actually never failed at anything in AC until now. I’m pretty bum. Other than that today was a pretty decent day. I got online and went to visit a few islands.

Yeah, inviting Whitney was a pain. It was mostly the card games that kept me from getting her to replace someone specific. Pretty frustrating system, especially when cycling. Wish campsite people came more often.

Hey if you want I could try and give you Benedict via Amiibo card (Though last time I did that it took me one day and 5 hours to get the amiibo villager to move lol)

Thank you, he is not a dreamy of mine or anything, in fact I only want him so that Billy would leave. I cannot stand the first 5 villagers' generic house. All 6 of my villagers will be eventually replaced but I can’t remember the last time I went island hopping. Only one villager has ever asked me to move out and today is my 32 day.

Haha valid! I had Benedict in new Leaf (honestly the only chicken I liked)
Good luck with getting someone to move out! I've heard not talking to the one you want out and talking to all the other villagers can help get someone out but I'm not sure if it's a real method or I just got lucky doing it lol

From what I read, villagers ask to move out late in the day...unfortunately that when I’m off. When Cookie asked me to move, it was late in the day. I don’t play late in the day anymore, in fact I’m missing out on night time with Celeste (never had a diy) and wisp and other stuff (if there is any).

Oh you like Benedict? I never had chicken villager so I don’t really know. I also talk to all of my villagers and give them gifts. I’m not dying to get rid of them but I would like to replace them with dreamies via campsite or island hopping (which hasn’t happened since day 17, which is 16 days ago).

I'm inside the campsite right now with Julian for like an hour now

My boyfriend got Merengue in his campsite the other day so we were desperately trying to get her to kick out a villager he accidentally picked up from my void. He got really frustrated cause she kept wanting to kick out his favourite villager. Eventually she settled on kicking out Piper, which wasn't who we wanted to kick but my boyfriend was so fed up we just kicked her out anyway to get Merengue.

It takes so long to get them to even bring up the card game, and winning it is infuriating since it's completely random.

right? it's sooo frustrating. i mean sure, it's a cheat, but there's just no way the camper has asked literally EVERY villager i want to stay more than TWICE, and NEVER the one i wanted out? almost as if we're being punished.
