Yesterday, Camofrog was camping in my town. I invited him to move in and he said that he would. When I started my game this morning he was still there! When I spoke to him he still spoke of moving into my town. This has never happened to me before, and it is really weird. Does anyway know why this happened or has experianced this happening?

That's because the new day starts at 6AM. That's when, if you're playing, Isabelle will interrupt you and save, and the town will progress one day forward.

maybe you just got really lucky and managed to get him as a random camper two days in a row? that's the only explanation I have haha

I would say that's some sort of time glitch that I've never heard of, then. Maybe he was going to move in in two days, and today the campsite decided it was going to have a villager. Since Camofrog still hadn't moved in yet, maybe there was still a chance he could show up?

The villager will move in in the next day or two, sometimes they just stay in the campsite a few extra days before they put their plot down.

This is probably what happened then. But I've never heard of this happening before! Oh well, he still says he's moving in, so it's fine anyway.

I've just been looking up this scenario, and somebody else on gamefaqs said this happened to them when they invited a camper on the day someone in their town was moving out, which also happened to me yesterday [mathilda moved out - hooray!]. So perhaps they stay an extra day if invited in on the same day someone is moving out?

Yeah I'm not sure if this is a glitch or intended, but it's happened to me quite a few times. It's nothing to worry about, he'll still move in :)

can confirm that this is indeed the case. the same thing happened to me when someone moved out.

This has happened to me every time I've invited someone into my cycle town... they stayed until they set up a plot. It's weird, idk.

Oh heeey, now that you mention this...

Other people have mentioned that when you adopt a villager from someone's town while you have a villager in boxes (ready to move out), it takes an extra day for the adopted villager to show up. Apparently it's because the game needs a day to "get rid" of the house with the villager who was in boxes, thus delaying the arrival of the new villager by a day. I wonder if it works the same for the campsite? Might indeed be why Camofrog is staying an extra day.

Either way, hope you'll enjoy having Camofrog! I got him recently myself and I think he's a real cutie patootie. :)
