These make me so happy ^^ here are the call backs I found so far

Pikachu actually says "Pika Pika" could be a possible callback to Gen 1's pokemon yellow

In the museum in Lumiose City, there are countless callbacks. There's a picture of Shaymin from Gen 4. There's also a painting of resurrecting the Shinnoh fossils. There is a painting of the Johto region. There is also a painting of Mr. Briney and his wingull Peeko.

There is also some random guy in Laverre City that clams to be a storyteller. He is a call back to the random story teller in a pokemon center in the third generation. They claim to be related.

Any other call backs that I'm missing?

In the upstairs of one of the hotels, there's an older lady who says something like... "Are there any hot springs around here? Where I'm from, there's a hot spring right next to the Pokemon Center!" which is a reference to Hoenn's Lavaridge Town.

I heard something about Unova at some point and someone wanting Lava Cookies.

Apparently there's a callback to Gary from the anime.

Nah, it's actually a reference to Red/Blue. A lady in one of the pokemon centers mentions how she met the grandson of a professor when he came to Kalos. She said he said, "Smell you later." when he left.

As far as the other stuff goes, I like all the references. Other than the whole pikachu thing. Making pokemon say their names was an anime thing, a horrible anime thing. Putting it in the games is a stupid idea and hopefully it'll just stay with pikachu.

Don't worry, Pikachu is the only one. Other pokemon have their cries updated (primarily the first generation of pokemon) to sound more realistic, and not out of place beeps and boops (so it doesn't sound like an old motem hooking up to AOL).

I battled a youngster who says 'do you know why i like shorts?' before the battle, and then 'because they're easy to wear' after the battle. Which I think is a reference to the very first games. :)

Yeah, I noticed a lot of them were updated. But I'd still prefer modem booting to pokemon saying their names. That is the worst thing I have ever seen come from pokemon. I loved watching the anime when I was a kid but even then I couldn't stand the fact they said their names.

This doesn't count as a call back, but I came across a psychic trainer. Upon defeating him he says this "Wow! You and your Pokemon's power levels are incredible! They're over 9,000 for sure!"

This is a reference to that stupid DBZ meme -_- siggghhhh deduct points from the translation team.

Nintendo is really getting into the internet memes lately. New Leaf is filled with them to the point of it being too much.

Plus, that Over 9000 meme is five years old now. C'mon Nintendo.

In Paper Mario and the Sticker Star, Kersti frequently calls Kamek a hipster...

Someone on Route 10 mentions Colress,. Haven't got much further than that so I don't know if it becomes more relevant to the game or not. Also Santalune forest has a similar layout to Viridian forest, as far as I can tell.

I too dislike the Pikachu thing. Absolutely no need for them to have done that. It's a little odd hearing the updated cries for old Pokemon (Onix in particular) but I can see why they did it.

I remember seeing a "Youngster Joey" in Santalune forest.

Some updated cries sound worse in my opinion. Linoone, some of those with the more unique calls have had them reduced, etc.

I just found two, both in Lumiose city

A woman outside a cafe mentioned tea from striaton city (black)

Looker said his savings were as lofty as sinnoh's mt coronet (diamond)

There is someone (can't remember where.) who plays hearthome city music and someone who plays a piece of music from black&white (in coumarine city).

Do you mean those guys with the different hair colors in Mauville City?
I can't remember what they said, but I do remember they were pretty awesome.

Oh them! One sold some nice secret base stuff!

There was a guy in one of the hotel rooms that said something about the region he was from then said "Nevermind, you'll see it in due time."

HINT???? I hope I get to visit a different region after I beat the Elite 4 or something!
I haven't read any spoilers about it, so I have no idea if I get to. Don't ruin it for me!
