Cafe problems!!

So back around August I took a break from my game and didn't pick it back up for about a month (so end of August?). At that current time I had The Roost Cafe built and I had the ability to get my coffee to go from the side counter. Fast forward to now, I picked it back up around the beginning of September, and have been playing almost everyday since, but for some odd reason I can no longer get my coffee, from The Roost Cafe, to go. I have bought the amount I've needed to buy in order to unlock this ability a long time ago, yet I can no longer get it to go; and come to think of it I haven't been able to work behind the counter either. I really don't know what to do, or if anything has changed in the game. Completely lost on what to do. All I want is to carry my coffee around my town

First, you have to do it between 11 a.m. and 11p.m. Second, the game counts what is to me a unknown amount of days at the beginning of October because it counts them as event days for Jack to come

So you can't get coffee to go during event days? Which is most of October?

I've tried recently though, even after the 7th. All Brewster says is "You like coffee don't you?" and "Hello...".

Have you tried sitting on the stools?

Yeah, usually get 1 cup in. If I try sitting down again all he says is "You like coffee don't you..?". It's all just really odd to me.
