Buy Special furniture from an Animal's Van in someone else's town? (Update: YOU CAN!)

We all know about once you have scan a amiibo with Wisp, that animal's Van will show up in the campsite for you to buy their special furniture with the MEOW Coupons. But what if a friend from another town came to your campsite? Would they be able to use coupons to get those special furniture too? Someone should test this out.

Well if you ask the dog you can ask him if you have WIFI there and he said no, not sure if that was directed at online?

I tested it out just now with a friend with the SPLATOON amiibo and they were able to order a super sea snail! So it IS possible to get furniture from an animal's van from a friend's town!
