Do you agree with people hitting villagers with nets, hammers, or pushing them around or with pitfalls? Why, or why not? :)

Yeah Idrc. I think it's funny to hit villagers who are unwanted and cause you grief every single time you see their face walking around and about your town. Ik it doesn't do anything to speed up moving process, but it's fun anyway.

I would never bully any villagers. Not ever. Game or no game, real or pixelated, I just couldn't bully an animal.

NO IT'S SO CRUEL ;; I get super sad whenever I am rude to my villagers, will it be by accident or not. they just get so sad ;;

There aren't any villagers that I dislike, so I wouldn't do stuff like pushing them around, hitting them with nets etc.

Anyway, even if there was a villager I wanted out of my town, pushing them around and stuff like that will actually make them less likely to move, because then they could turn around and say that they want to get to know you better when they ping you to move, and end up not moving out.

Lol yeah I feel kinda **** even accidentally hitting them with a net...plus it doesn't even help with moving them out or anything so I just don't do it.

eh, I guess its just how you play the game? I mean its kinda funny if you continually hit a villager with nets and put them in pitfalls, but they always greet you warmly each morning.... I don't do it, but I think its funny the people who do post about it

I just see it as animal abuse. even if they aren't real animals, I always think 'aw imagine if this happened to a real [insert species here]'.

You wouldn't know how much abuse I hurled at Hopper

That's damn ****ing red eyed penguin freak moving in the middle of my path and ****ing making me dreamy Goldie move out you are a lil piece of **** I hate you die die die

I personally don't mind it either way. I do, however, love the troll factor for people who abuse the animals, usually thinking it will make them leave faster when it reality it makes them stay longer than if you were to just ignore them. Bullying the villagers make it so that you are befriending them, like if you were to just talk to them, but they are stuck in a certain point until you actually try to befriend them. I've seen a lot of people do "experiments" to see if it was true, bullying making them stay longer. Plus I did my own with three different towns, its pretty much all the same. Hitting and bullying = staying longer than just ignoring them. The moral, never hit the animals, especially if you want them to move out! lol.

chill he only wanted a place to live yo

I feel very slightly bad, but it's a must when you got to get a villager out of your path.

I don't like abusing villagers. Yeah, maybe the characters aren't technically real but in the end, the villager only wanted to live in a nice town. And maybe this is all at random and aside from hurt feelings in game nothing happens, but imagine them writing to their old friends, telling that you are so mean. I probably shouldn't be taking this too far. But the moral of the story is, your villagers (real or not) have feelings too.

Actually, just talking to the villager once than ignore them for the a few days, 7-10, they will more out faster than hitting them for destroying your path. So it isn't really a "must" when they do that. Just ignore them and rebuild once they've left!

I get this. I think it's kinda really infuriating when a villager moves in and destroys a lot of stuff in the process, and then they're all, "I moved here just for you!" Like, you moved here to destroy and ruin stuff? Mmm, ok. Great impression, I'll remember that.

I don't care either, I smack my villagers all the time with my net just for a good laugh, its a game, who gives two tosses what we do to our villagers :) I torture them more so if they move in on a space that ruins the layout of the town!

That's never worked for me. I tried with 2 villagers. I introduced myself when they moved in and then ignored them. Weeks passed. When I finally started talking to them and mailing letters, they soon asked to move out.
