i have two islands. i was using my original island to time travel so i could go there with my second islands resident to catch bugs and fish and ocean critters to fill my museum so i could Finally begin terraforming my second island *i didnt want to start terraforming it until i had the entire museum filled*. the problem?
you cant catch the dung beetle on someone elses island.
with the first island i made sure that the snowballs were there so when i opened the gates i would be able to catch the dung beetle with my second island resident and the instant that i opened the gate the snowballs disappeared.
so! are there any other bugs/fish/ocean critters that you cannot catch on someone elses islands as well? or did i do something wrong?

the dung beetle, fleas, and the attack bugs (wasps, scorpions, tarantulas) cannot be caught in online multiplayer ^^ they can appear in local couch co-op (the 'call a resident' option) iirc. i don't believe there are any sea creatures or fish that are restricted in this way.

thank you sooo much for this info!! i guess im going to have to time travel on my second island just to get the insects that i need. i was trying to avoid that :/
