(Bug fixed!) CJ is in the river?

Like... He's literally just standing in the water. His idle animations are playing and everything, but he's not changing position at all, just standing there. In the water.

Is this supposed to happen?

It's his special technique to catch those fishies. It's all the rave on his live streams

No. Have you tried closing the game and loading it back up? That can force NPCs to spawn in different spots.

I have, and he stayed in exactly the same place. :/

Tried building a land path and talking to him and he doesn't respond. Tried removing the water tile and it doesn't let me because he's on it.

You might have to consider this CJ visit a lost cause and hope that next time he doesn't spawn in a glitchy spot like that.

I even tried turning the Switch off completely, but it's still the same. I don't really like fish models that much, but still...

I took a screenshot, so I'll probably upload it somewhere later. Sigh.

I thought it might have something to do with the tile he was meant to spawn on being half-cliff, so I decided to destroy some of the cliffs nearby.

I restarted after, and he's back to walking around on land now!

Now I just need to re-terraform that area, but at least it's solved, heh.

I tried doing a little more research for you, but it doesn't look like I can find a solution other than restarting. Sorry it's not working for you.

Considering I've seen tarantula spawn on top of houses, it wouldn't surprise me if NPCs could spawn on odd tiles as well.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, this is a animal version of Minecraft. The spider spawning on the house supports my theory and I will never let it go

I got this glitch last week, but didn't try terraforming the cliffs to fix it. Nice to know there's a work around in case I get it again.
