Brewster's Photo for Multiple Players?

My daughter, who is our island rep, played the update for the first time without me while I was at work yesterday. She spoke to Blathers, got Brewster's photo, went on the Kapp'n trip, found Brewster, etc. When I played for the first time after the update last night, I immediately spoke to Blathers but he didn't have me do any of the Brewster things nor did he give me Brewster's photo. He did mention the museum would be closed the next day while the cafe is being built. My question is, apparently the island rep (or I guess whoever plays first) is the only one who gets to go find Brewster on the island, but more importantly, are they the only one who gets Brewster's photo? Have any other people with multiple players on the same island gotten Brewster's photos through some other method? Maybe Blathers mails them later? Or maybe if you do enough tasks for Brewster he will ultimately give other players on the island his photo? I can't believe the game would only let the island rep get the photo, as Rover/Jingle, etc have all had equal opportunity.

I figured everyone on the island would get Brewster’s photo. I only used my island reps on both islands. Will have to try with my alt characters when I get home later. I hope the other people on the island can also get Brewster’s photo.

so far only my resident rep on both islands got Brewster’s photo. My other characters weren’t able to get it. I really hope there’s a way for all players to get one. I agree that it doesn’t seem fair to limit it to the resident rep only.
