While I agree that is something they would do, if you watch the video, the oil has stoped.

However, like they said, it's no permanent fix and things can always get a lot worse from a pressure buildup.

I'd like to point out that this is not necessarily permanent. It's meant to be a pressure test, and the oil may now be leaking out at some point further down the well. It won't be totally over until relief wells are drilled and the Gulf Coast's beaches are no longer slick with oil.

Agreed. I feel like there's a better chance of them faking the video by paying the government enough moolah to allow them to do it just to make them look like they're actually doing good. I'm hoping they go bankrupt paying people for the damage they've done.
