Bought a 3DS XL just for this game!

Hi!

I bought a 3DS XL just for this game. I had been a big fan of AC:WW, wasn't as hot on AC:CF because I prefer handheld games so I can multitask. I haven't played AC in a long time, but when I saw AC:NL advertised in the Target circular last weekend I was instantly pulled back in! After debating all week, I finally decided to just give in a buy a 3DS XL and AC:NL. I was disappointed in the color offerings for the 3DS XL, but ended up with a pink/white one that I ordered from Walmart as a bundle with Crosswords 3DS and some accessories for $179.99

My 3DS won't be here until Tuesday at the earliest, so my wait continues. I ordered AC:NL too, but that is scheduled to come a few days later. No way am I waiting so I will just buy a copy at the store and return the ordered one. Already have plans to get a skin for my 3DS as well. Does anyone know if you can use a skin and screen protectors at the same time?

So looking forward to this game! My favorite character is Tangy

Hi! I did that! Screen protector then the skin over it. My advice is do the application in small room w/ no windows (or windows closed), as dust will just wreck the process.

Thanks Ben! Guess I'll go ahead and order the screen protectors. Still deciding which skin I want. I've put screen protectors on my DS and my old cell phone. After realizing what a pain it was, I took my iPhone to the mall and had them do it for me. May end up doing that with the 3DS as I have no patience for that sort of thing! Putting the skins on is easier.

Soooo excited! My 3DS XL is out for delivery from FedEx today! And it looks like my AC:NL may be delivered by the post office today as well (it was estimated to arrive Thursday). I really hope my game does come today, otherwise I'll probably be forced to either go to the store and buy a copy or download it. Does anyone know the pros/cons to downloading it vs buying the cartridge?

Also ordered the Hori screen protectors and a skin for it since I am rather clumsy

Pros of digital titles: listed in your library & you do not have to switch cartridges.

Cons of digital titles: there's hardly a price difference & you cannot sell it. Can be found cheaper @ retailers.
