Hey y'all I adore this game and the entire series, been playing since gamecube days but I'm feeling sorta burnt out can anyone recommended me games similar or what to do in the acnh? Thanks ✨

hm... i’d say don’t reset to get the “perfect layout”. if you want something to challenge you, work with what you have, and when you’re done with that set up, completely change it up! change themes, paths, rivers, all with the knowledge that it all took place on the same island.

Might give that a try, I always struggle with my islands aesthetic so changing everything might be fun!

my suggestion for burnout is always to take a break from the game. it'll feel fresh again when you come back.

i dont play a lot of games that are like animal crossing, but for a beautiful, relaxing game on the switch, i would recommend gris. it's a very beautiful puzzle side-scroller with 2D animation. not a terribly long game either.

definitely take a break!

i've never played it, but you might enjoy stardew valley. i personally enjoy moon's harvest and my time at portia. both are games that have a storyline (and you can romance npcs!!!) and also have a crafting system in them.

lol.... similar recommendation.

Here's my pitch.

We join together and advertise a scavenger hunt event on one of our islands and invite 3-4 unsuspecting players thinking they'll grab some free stuff. Unfortunately for them there's boogiemen (us) and pitfalls buried all over the island. We fly out of the darkness with bug nets and chase them howling like howler monkeys.

The point? To show how terrifying animal crossing truly is as we've played the gamecube version.

Or you just take a break. That's the more sane option.

Yeah may take a break if I keep feeling this way hopefully I'll start to enjoy it again tho! Also thanks for the recommendation! I'm garbage at puzzle games but will look into it ( I love ur icon!!! Legosi is baby)

im also awful at puzzle games but gris isnt too hard, i found it to be at the perfect level of challenging but not impossible

God I love that idea! I wish the original animal crossing had online multiplayer tho it would be so chaotic

I kinda feel that way tbh. I am playing the game daily but it’s only for several minutes to dig up fossils and to check what’s being sold in stores honestly. Right now I’m currently waiting for new buildings so I can start working on my island again because there isn’t much going on rn.

I felt the urge to pick up New Leaf again, but I'm still working on my island. Apart from landscaping and terraforming, there's not a lot that draws me in, unfortunately.

I suggest taking a break now and then resume the game in June. New critters to catch and possibly new updates.

Don't push yourself because burnout may lead to complete loss of interest in further playing the game. Forever.
