I've been playing New Leaf for a while but I just get so bored so easily. Does anybody have any help to make it non-boring? I have the ability to hack but that always makes it even more boring because I never put any work into it and I feel shameful lol. So help please? Thanks..

First-off, yeah, never hack. Hacking takes the fun out of everything. My advice? Either restart your current town or get a new copy of the game. I was getting bored playing in PixelsV2 so I got Alleyway, and now I have a project to work on I'm pretty sure I still play in Pixels more

Make goals for yourself, or change the layout of your town. Make your own paths, try and fill your catalog. Try to make an extreme amount of money as quickly as you can WITHOUT using island beetles. Go on tours, visit dream towns for inspiration.

i get bored too, but that's only because i've been playing for enough years and "mastered" the game.

what usually gets me interested is...
-talking to my villagers, doing favours
-organizing & collecting stuff
-visiting dream towns
-making designs
-playing with friends
-going to club tortimer
-challenge yourself (hard tours, catching rare fish, etc)

if you're at my point where there's nothing left to do in the game, you could try selling or giving away items. i was actually thinking to giveaway things sometime cause i've got loads of stuff and nothing to do with them. if you have enough igb (in-game bells) then sell your stuff for tbt (bell tree bells). you can get some collectibles and even nice art with them (:

I pretty much get on and do chores and get off. Sometimes I hang around my town and visit villagers, do events, and make new projects but I don't play more than an hour a day.

Yeah. Don't hack. I gave it a shot on my super-old regular 3DS and it didn't feel right in the slightest (although being able to get any villager on my own was a nice perk).

The way I keep myself entertained is I give myself a couple goals -- both short term and long term:

Some short term goals include:
- get a certain amount of hybrids (specific colour, or something) over a couple days.
- talk to every villager a couple times a day.
- Plan out new landscaping areas to change the town up.

Some long term goals include:
- Maximum Bells in your ABT.
- Completely re-landscape your town.

It's not a lot, but if you make some goals and play for an hour or so a day, it gets a little harder to get burned out. Just don't be afraid to take a day off now and then.
