Books that changed your life?

To Kill A Mockingbird
Rosemary's Baby
The Green Mile

Loved these books, loved the movies as well.

Hatchet by Gary Paulsen, its a really great book about a teenager/young adult that goes to visit his father via plane because his parents are divorced but the pilot has a heart attack and the plane crashes in the middle of a lake. The guy gets out but nearly drowns in the process and then has to try to survive and find help with nothing but a hatchet that was a gift from one of his parents. Its a little bit dark but not so much so that anybody over the age of 10 would have nightmares. The book has a sequel called "Brian's Winter". I def recommend that some of you look into it.

A Wanderer in the Spirit Lands and a coupla' others on this list: http://new-birth.net/books_life_after_death.htm By far the book I would recommend most though is this, also one you should start off first when dealing w/ this subject matter: frontcover40.jpg

The Secret History of the World.
It's a very philosophical as well as spiritual view on how the world was made - how cosmic entities came about and how they relate to earth. Three chapters in, and my view and stance on my personal beliefs changed. I strongly recommend it to the open-minded and courageous.

The Sky Fisherman, although tedious, was extremely moving. And of course, Harry Potter, even though it's a common read I love those books.

Reading Night right now for class... didn't think it would effect me this much :/ Younger readers keep in mind that this book is about the Holocaust, so it does have some older content themes. Overall it is an amazing book, unbelievable how even mustered the strength to write it (as these are his real experiences)
