Hi, can someone PLEASE help me with how to breed blue roses? I've looked up guides online, and they all say different ways to do it, but none of them seem to work! Any help is appreciated :)

You need to grow two hybrid red roses, which are red roses that have an orange rose or a purple rose.

These are a couple combinations that I've had success with in getting hybrid red roses:

Orange rose + White rose
Red rose + Purple rose
Orange rose + Purple rose

I've seen that the Orange rose and Purple rose combination works best, but I have had luck with Orange roses + White roses.

After you start getting hybrid red roses, you will need to pair up one of the following:

Red hybrid rose + Red Hybrid rose
Red hybrid rose + Orange rose

The two Red hybrid roses are your best combination, I've had very little luck with the Red hybrid rose and Orange rose combination, but I HAVE seen it work personally.

im jumping in with my own question lol. there are red hybrid roses o.O how do you tell the difference?

There isn't a visual difference, but you know it is one when it spawns when it is near a pair of flowers that include an orange rose or a purple rose. They've got a special 'value' that indicates it has an orange rose or purple rose parent, which allows it to breed a blue rose.

There are also red hybrid pansies, which are for purple pansies.

You can't, you just have to separate them from the others. Or you can always buy 2 blue roses from someone and just breed those :P

okay that is good to know! i never knew that lol. may explain why i never seemed to be able to breed many flowers!

This way worked for me, and I got many blue roses within 3 days :3

- Breed 2 purple roses together = 2 purple!roses (! in the middle means it has come from the two purple parents)
- Breed 2 orange roses together = 2 orange!roses
- Breed the purple!roses and the orange!roses together to get hybrid red roses , or blue I cant remember.
- If its red, then breed those together to get blue

I've also had luck with breeding two purple roses. A red rose randomly popped out, and I know it wasn't planted by the villagers, since it was on the beach.

For that matter, villagers won't plant flowers on the beach, right? *nervous chuckle*

They can, actually! I've seen them do it.

@OP: Looks like you already received the needed advice. For what it's worth, I personally used Khaelis' method and bred two hybrid red roses.
