Birthday Wishes

My birthday is tomorrow, and I wanted to know if it works if you request a villager to move into your town. For example, my dreamies are: Julian, Apple, Margie, Roscoe, and Marshal. I'm probably going to go with Apple. If anybody has tried this, can you tell me if it is possible or not? Thank you!

I don't know that, I'm sorry. I've seen no evidence for that. However, I did TWICE ask for a Police Station in 2 of my towns and both times someone suggested it pretty quickly. So wishing for that, if you want it, may help. For awhile my villagers only said my secondary wanted one for her birthday wish, and finally somebody suggested it about a week later. I had had my town for MONTHS and not until her b-day did I finally get someone to ask for the darned thing.

I tried to wish for Lucky several times and I have never received him, and I must have asked about 6 times. So...I doubt that wishing for a villager would work, tho I wish it would.

Yeah. There have been many people here complaining about their villagers bringing up their wishes over and over for months if they opted to tell them. I'm going to keep it secret.

Ah gosh, my birthday was last week and I forgot to choose "Keep it a secret" I haven't heard anything about my wish yet though... I wished for a dreamie but they haven't shown up in the campsite or anything yet, I'm not banking on them showing up but since there was speculation I thought I'd try it. Though I'm a little relieved they haven't shown up yet since I've got a full town right now...

Yep. I had one of my villagers mention my birthday wish last week....and my birthday was back in July.

Honestly I don't get why they would make it that way though, are you able to tell them that it came true already and have them stop talking about it? Like why would they put it in the game that it constantly reminds you haha..

marshal asked me 3 times today if my birthday wish of "sprinkle will be my waifu" has been achieved........

i've heard of instances in which people's wishes have come true, but i think that's mostly a happy coincidence (things like wanting certain villagers and getting them through trading instead of the campsite, random move ins, etc)

I TTed 35 years ahead, to the 2049, and they STILL remind me of my birthday wish from 2012. I wished for "Olivia to fall in love with me".. lmao. (I hope I'm not the only one with silly wishes like that) And I lost her in a time travelling accident long ago. Awkward...

The wish won't come true for the game can't understand the meaning of words. If it could than villagers could distinguish bad words from good, but all they care about is the amount of letters and repetition in a letter.

You can write anything. I wished "for snow" but I didn't get much. About 28 days later I got the first "about your wish, did it come true?" conversation with a villager. Now some still mention it, but only once.

Then he told me "well I'm gonna make it happen" or something like that, next thing I know, curt pings me that he wants to move lol

Basing on the things people have reported so far, it seems that the game grants the player's wish about a week later, but that's only if it understood what you had wished for. I wished for Genji, but since Julian came in like a couple days later, the wish might have been pushed back another week or so, until someone else decided to up and move to free up a spot. I didn't go that far into the game file, so I can't say for sure if this b-day rumor is true or not (loathed the town layout at the time).

Still, I don't think it's proof that it works, maybe I just got lucky. I think people have better luck wishing for PWPs or Rare items or pictures then getting a villager to move in

It's just luck. I wished for Caroline to move out back in July. She moved but all villagers ask to do so eventually.

I asked for my house to be upgraded in November and they are still saying it! And I accidently spelt house like houes and it really annoys me!
