So today is my Birthday in ACNL and none of my villagers come up to me when I load up my game. I'm really confused, are they mad at me or something?

That's really weird 0-0

No matter what, they should always have a party for you. Have you tried turning it on / off? Maybe don't save the game and retry.

Good luck!

Yeah I tried that and they still won't come up. :(

That's odd. Has it been a while since you last played? If you play regularly and have a good friendship level with someone, they should greet you at your door for a party.

I haven't played since a week ago but I have a pretty good friendship with Olivia.

I think if it was me I would go back to the day or two before today (if you don't have a problem changing your time some), talk to villagers and do some errands and such. Then maybe come back to your birthday and see if they give you a party.
Your relationship needs to be good for them to give you a party, so you might not be on good enough terms with them.

A week of no playing you probably need to talk to them because of the whole 'you've been gone so long I forgot you existed'-thing they got going on. I know villagers won't ping you if they are in that mode too.

Wow, that sounds kind of sad... I'd do what has been said above: I'd TT back a day or two and do some errands for the villagers, then TT back to your birthday. I know it involves TTing and that some people are against it, but I think it's better to TT a bit and to have a birthday party than having no birthday party at all :(

THIS. I do agree that it's probably because you haven't played in a week, and the villagers tend to forget you exist if you don't play for a week or more.

My side player in my guest town was the main character for along time and than the mayor took over when it became a real town.
When the mayor took over the side player stopped playing and just came out for holidays. When the villagers mentioned her birthday was coming up I sent her out the day before and got the where have you been out of the way. The next day a villager greeted her and she had her birthday party. The villagers gave her a birthday table.

She went without playing for 3 months and still got a the party. It was like she was never gone.

That is really strange! *pat pat* Even if a week went by, I wouldn't think that is enough time for a no-show birthday :( On behalf of your town, my town and everyone in the world, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

:( That is sad... only a week and your villagers forget you? The mayor of the town? Rude.
Well'p.. happy birthday anyways!.. I hope you have a good one.

Happy Birthday in real life!

check your character's player card- maybe you gave her a different birthday than your real one?

check your mail-- if no party, somebody shoulda at least sent you a birthday card-- if you're the mayor you will certainly have one from Isabelle.

one other thing- have you been time-traveling and already celebrated your birthday this year?? i dont think the game lets you do it twice in one year...
