So i had someone over a few days ago and i just noticed that a looottt of my hybrids on the beach are missing along with the two lucky clovers i had next to my house. Im so frickin upset. Why do people have to be such jerks and steal!! i lost carnations black tulips and 2 orange pansies (my only 2) makes me not want to be so friendly to people anymore

Yeah if you're being too friendly, people tend to take adventage of that. Be kind, but also be vigilant, is my advice.

If you have the 2DS/N3DS just hit the power button and then the home button and it will turn off the game. You won't lose anything then. It's a bit of a hassle but at least it's an option.

Other than quick trades near the gate I never let anyone visit my town for this reason. There are too many dishonest, disrespectful people out there. If some one wants to visit my town they can do it in their dream suite!

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. Its just, i play as honestly as i can, and do everything possible to be kind and to help out. I just dont understand what someone gets out of ruining another persons day. Thankfully many people are still kind, i made some good friends today when they were selling turnips in my town And it made me feel a lot better. I wish that i didnt have to worry about theft, especially in a game that is supposed to be peaceful and therapeutic (in my opinion ac is very therapeutic)

I usually don't let people from online come hang out in my town. The only time I let outside people in is if they're selling something in Re-tail, doing a quick trade, or picking up a villager. I've never had anything stolen fortunately. If they have a TBT account and you know who it was you can leave them a negative review.

I am so sorry for you one time a girl came to my town and I was just staying at my house and when I came out she stole sooooo many of my flowers.... there was another person in the town and she actually blamed on him (but he was physically playing next to me). sigh. back then I didnt think of switching off my wi-fi.. but yeah, after that, it makes me so nervous when I bring people to my town too. I dont want to assume the worst in people, but that was not a good experience at all.
