I'm going to start cycling villagers, what's the best way to get to the stage were they're in boxes?
Do I just ignore them and keep time travelling or should I talk to them (gunna be starting my own cycling town etc.
Thanks :)

What I do is I go ahead one year (same date and time other than the year) ON the day a villager is in boxes. After that load up the game again and go another year forward. Then load up the game once more and only go 5 days ahead this time. After that, a villager will be in boxes and you should have a new villager already moved in. It's beneficial for speed cycling.

Here's an example:

Apple is in boxes on May 15, 2016.
Save and quit.
Go to May 15, 2017.
Save and quit.
Go to May 15, 2018.
Save and quit.
Go to May 20, 2018.
One of the villagers will be in boxes and another villager will have already moved in. :)

I had a cycling town once. No, you do not need to talk to them. Just pick a reliable method of time travel and go... they will soon be in boxes.

Although, I did have one villager (forgot his name) that absolutely refused to move. Seriously, like 40 years went by in that town, he just did not want to budge. Weird, right? Eventually, they ALL moved, and I think I got to see almost all 333 villagers (or whatever the number is.)

Another weird thing I saw while cycling... some villagers really want to come back. Like Pietro. Moved out and moved back in like 10 times. Along with a handful of others. Go figure.

If i'm cycling what I do is I get a villager rumour of somebody moving out, once they ping and they tell me their moving date and they're in boxes, I skip 1 year and start up the game, I save the game and then skip one year again. Usually you'll have a new villager in town at this point. After you've skipped two years in total, skip 5 days. Then when you start up the game Isabelle should tell you that another villager is in boxes. Then repeat this method but without doing the whole villager rumour thing, you'll just need to skip 1 year at a time which adds up to two years and five days. You might wanna look at Crash's cycling guide, which might explain this more clearly to you. :)
