Best way to start a new town?

I was thinking of buying thrones to transfer my bells
(because of the huge hassle), but I lose 600k with each transfer
(800k->200k). Does anyone have any tips on moving?

I wouldn't re-start my town unless I had two 3ds, and another copy of animal crossing so I could move more easily. Maybe see if someone can hold the items for you?
