Best way to make fast money?

I know about the beetles on the island, but right now I guess I am having bad luck because the only bugs I see are the roaches and tiger beetles. I see people on this site talking about trading things for millions of bells and I'm like :O ..... I am lucky if I have 3,000 to my name! Usually mine go to things, like pwps or house loans. Even then, I don't think I've ever had more than 105,000 at one time. I have never bought/sold turnips before because I'm not exactly sure how they work and didn't want to waste my money....I also go around and sell the fruits from my orchard every few days but even that doesn't bring in much money. Is it just a matter of saving up? Or am I missing something here?

Turnips, imo. You just need start up money. Save up, buy turnips for below 110 bells. Sell them in other peoples towns for profit for more than you bought.

You don't really even have to do anything aside from buy and store them. Although, you could also play the stalk market yourself in your own town and still reap pretty big profits. The only thing about this is that you can't TT.

Have but one tree @ the center Island & 1x Palm at the left & right of the Island. I would also remove all the bushes, thereby limiting the butterflies! Good luck!

I planted a ton of perfect apple trees all over my town, then harvested them and sold them at a friends town that had the perfect apple premium, time traveled twice and made ~3-4 million bells. (you don't have to time travel though, one time will amount to enough bells) it is a lot of work but not if you have 3 friends helping

i would say start with that and once you have enough start with the turnips and you'll make a ton of bells.

If only I had 3 friends to play with! its usually just me running back and forth from the island. Next time the lady with the turnips comes around I will buy some and try to figure it out lol....I buy some and then wait for a day where they are priced good in my town? (I don't really have any good friends that I could consistently sell in their town)

You can wait and see if they price high in your town, or you can check out the "Train Station" forum here and people often post when they have high turnip prices. Some want a tip in exchange for letting you use their town, some let you come over for free.

Turnips if you're willing to take your chance, and know that you'll have access to wifi and such..

I stick to beetles because it's just easier, I spend hours on end at the island for beetles and night. I find they're more frequent around 7:30 to 8, and then just after 9pm. Not sure if that is a real pattern or not it just seems like that in my game. I also sell my fruits/fossils everyday, and do money rock stuff. Nothing new but if you can try to spend as much time at the island even if it gets mind-numbing at times.

Hm. Are they more frequent when you only have two palms? I removed everything from the center but kept a line of palms on the left and right side but now that you mention just having two I wonder if it's easier/faster that way?

The Stalk Market is great for making bells, not to mention you can get the Turnip Badges from buying/selling them. (That is, if you're interested in collecting badges).

Right now, I just like to fish in my town. Yeah it's a simple, classic way to earn bells, but you actually get quite a bit. A pocket full of Ocean Fish sold at Re-tail can range anywhere from 10k-50k+. Depending on if you have Sharks, Blue Marlins, Neapolitan Fish, etc.. (All the rare, expensive fish) But usually I get about 14k per pocketful, which consists of Butterfly Fish, Seahorses, Squids, Clown Fish and Olive Flounders, really.

I love to fish, it's relaxing to me, so I don't mind making bells slower this way. I find it very enjoyable. c:

Turnips are a good way to earn bells, if you purchase many of them, you can easily earn more bells that way. Going to the island and catching the sharks and rare bugs/fish is a good way as well.

Even if it takes a lot of work, the way to earn the most bells is by finding a perfect fruit, and planting perfect fruit tress all over your town. As you continue to grow perfect fruits on the trees, you can eventually plant a whole bunch of them, and get tons of bells.

This is a slightly more unorthodox method of bell making, but if you've been playing for a while, you've probably had Saharah visit, right? She has some exclusive, unorderable wallpapers that she gives out. If you aren't interested in keeping them, head over to TBT's retail and sell them Some of the more desired ones can fetch quite a hefty sum of bells. You never know what people may want to buy or trade, and you can get items you want as well.

I make most of my money on the island.
I don't really know if this is supposed to work or not. But what I do is:
On the Island I go on a tour and I look for like the easy bug catching or fossil hunting tour. They're on a map similar to your town but blank to play the game. But they're filled with fruit. I collect all the fruit and then you save the items you collected in the box then sell me when you get back. A full box I sell for almost $120,000 a day.

I know this is mentioned already but I am just explaining further to all those who dont know about it:
Go to the island when you have it unlocked. (It is best to do it when the island is new to the game because it spawns in the same bugs/fish all the time over and over)
Now borrow the axe and shovel off the oiD.
Chop down all the trees and leave one in the middle, one palm tree on the left AND right side!
Now switch the time to 5pm or 8pm (or just wait) and there should be bugs on all trees!
Just borrow the net off the oiD.
To regenerate just go inside the island Reception and go back outside!

I don't even leave one in the middle...they only spawn beetles that aren't worth much (other than a rainbow stag, and those very rarely show up)
Two palms, one on each side net me over 300K in a half hour EVERY time!
