Best way to get a police station?

I've been playing acnl for a long time now (I have T&t Emporuim) and yet my villagers still don't ask me for a police station. Any tips on getting it?

If I remember correctly someone will ping you asking for it, but I forget if it's a specific personality. Either way, maybe you could try the diving trick to get more pings? All you have to do is go diving and wait for about five minutes, then go back into town and walk around until one of your villagers pings you. It could help the process go by faster hopefully.

I think it's random. Since any villager can suggest it, you can't really target any one type. Just keep creating opportunities for them to ping you and you should get it, eventually.

It took me a couple of months with both my towns before someone finally requested it.

Get a wet suit _> Go diving -> Gat to the corner of the ocean -> wait 5-6 mins -> walking around ut town -> here the "ping"

carry no clothes, no money, no furniture. It's quite random.

The diving trick works, but you have to talk to a Lazy Villager if I could remember it.

I find it too time consuming since there's so many other public works projects they can request besides the police station. I just waited for someone to eventually request it on their own, which didn't take too long.

This is pretty much your best bet. It's a good way to get public works projects suggested. Don't worry, it'll happen soon enough!

Try the diving trick! Like the above comments state:
-Fill your pockets with flowers so no villager will try to buy things off of you
- clear all money off of your mayor so they don't ask you to buy things
-go diving! Put on your wetsuit and put your timer on for 5 minutes (you are gaurenteed one ping every 5 mins) if you don't get a PWP ping, try again!
