Best way to gain NMs fast?

I never seem to have enough nook miles on me and i'm saving up to buy tickets to go island hopping (+ for the other items in my nookstop)
What's the best way to earn miles quickly?

Personally, I'd say time travelling. Just check in at nook stop each day. I have 198k Nook miles lol

You can trade TBTs for them. Last I checked, @Jhine7 has a great shop that offers 400 NMTs for 150 TBTs.

Yeah, that is a great shop @tajikey good call! I know many people don't TT but I do only for my villager shop. I don't do it for my regular game play, otherwise it feels like I'm ruining it.

You can trade others for them. I've heard some players will TT to Jan 1st to take advantage of free nook miles.
