Hello everyone!

I had a question revolving around reaching the target scores in Desert Island Escape. I completed my beginner levels of Desert Island Escape with Cheri, Ellie or Goldie (depending on if the island has lots of rocks or not), and Mitzi. So far, I'm completing the Intermediate levels, but I'm struggling to reach the target score within these levels.

Has anybody completed every single level in the game past the target score to get the trophy item? If so, what team did you use or which animals with the specific ability did you use? Any tips to scoring higher? Thanks!

I usually use a fish fetcher, a whimsy, and soft-footed. I'm having extreme difficulty getting a high score on beginner 7 tho. I know there are better combinations out there, but the file I'm doing this on's town is overrun by cats...so much fish

If I'm thinking of the same level the one where you barely move the first day at the first part of the island, that one is super hard! I ended up passing it though just barely, the best way to do it is find every part as fast as possible (the logs and sail). I used two sleepies (Francine and Chrissy), and a honey hunter (Cheri). I made Francine and Chrissy sleep on my first turn to get more spaces as I had Cheri move into the island more, then I went on and off with one sleeping and one staying awake for the day. I eventually got it somehow! I hope you can get higher than the target score on that one! (:

I did pretty badly at first, then found that kangaroo's are all you need.

I had two kangaroo's, and Cyrus.

Cyrus has 4 moves and can find material, but not important.

Kangaroo's have 7 moves, if whimsy works, if it doesn't, restart.

That's 18 potential moves.

When a Roo finds a tree with it's favorite fruit, it can get around 8 of it.

I ended up with 22 days worth of food, which was 22,000 points, plus cleared the stages days early, for a massive score on advanced mode!

Usually the materials for the raft are all in the same place! But I tried using Fang for lone wolf and could've gotten 3 days early but the sail wasn't where it always was! Weirdest thing. Ended up having to leave on the final day because of it. Got a dismal score of 22k

That's amazing! I was thinking about buying 2-3 koala cards which have the same ability as the kangaroos. That's an insane score though for the bonuses of food! I'll definitely have to try that out once I buy some amiibo cards!

Memorizing the map definitely helps! That troublesome sail costed me an entire round of Desert Island Escape too so I can definitely relate! It sometimes appear at the left bottom of that island, though sometimes on the bottom right part of the island, it's miserable!

Plus if you use amiibo cards, you save your play coins. ^_^

The best part about the amiibo cards!! ^_^

Stupid beginner 7. Just tried again with 32 as my finishing.

Ugh, that's the worst when you get so close to getting the score :/ I just checked my stats, I BARELY made it out of there with a target score. I got 37,820 with 50% exploration of the island, 3 days of food, 3 days remaining. Knowing this, I'm definitely not going to attempt to try to get target score again on that stage!

HA! I just finished it somehow with 3 days left, 50 or so % of the island done, and 5 days of food....however the log that's usually on top of the island was all the way at the very last space...40k tho! Finally done with beginner.

Awesome job!! You did better than I did when I completed that level! Best of luck on the Intermediate level btw, I think that's when poisonous snakes and tarantulas start to appear!

You guys got me into it again.

I just started with my alt character, and cleared beginner and half of intermediate, with high scores.

I had 28 meow coupons waiting for me, and heaps of Nintendo mail. ^_^

I found that having at least one whimsy or hearty traveler is good for the team. I usually use a dog, whimsy/hearty traveler, and a bear/bear cub. The dog can sense all good things nearby and mark out the spots that are danger (you will know because the spot with a question mark sensing danger won't go off). The whimsy/traveler can move lots of spaces which is good for uncovering items and spots on the island, and the bear cub can get food for the team being able to fight bees well, having a lesser chance of getting stung. I've had lots of success with this trio.

That's awesome! :D I hope to do that next once I get my Sydney and Yuka cards in the mail. It's a really fun game, I just wanna get those dang target scores! lol

Awesome tips! Since I just bought two whimsy animals (Sydney and Yuka) through the mail, I'm hoping I can complete these stages. That'll definitely help as I have all three of those type of animals as Amiibo cards!

I'm about to do it all on advanced!

I only had two restarts on two intermediate stages for high score.

In total I got 42 meow coupons yesterday! ^_^

I've got two levels left on advance.

My kangaroo's are being stubborn and not moving. :-/

Just got the frying pan though!

100% Do an all Whimsy Team. I did 2 whimsy and 1 hearty traveler..it was okay. But getting an all whimsy team is the best! Desert Island Escape is a piece of cake after that. I tried the dexterity ability, hunter, lone wolf, etc etc etc. They all suck. I failed more using them. I had never failed with 2 whimsy and 1 hearty traveler...but can you imagine the score completion you will get with all three whimsy? I want to retry my scores and do that. Now I am in love with kangaroo and koala villagers soooo much!! I will never have them move out. EVER. Right now you need to adopt 3 kangaroos/koalas. If your goal is to get all the items painlessly as possible do an all whimsy team.

I have the ikada trophy and good luck charm! All the stools and wallpaper+flooring

Now I just wish they made a guide for the puzzle league Dx I suck at that.

I've finished it again.

Two kangaroos and Cyrus.

I ended up with over 80,000 on the last advanced level.

When whimsy works, it's great.
I had to do a few restarts when both kangaroo's refused to move at the start of a level. LOL

I prefer two whimsys and a fish catcher/honey hunter rather than 3 whimsys. If all three of them don't move on a turn, you're essentially screwed over.

Intermediate is kickin my butt

Which kind has the hearty traveler?
