For me, it has to be DD rainbow road. I always find double dashes rainbow road fun, and the music is brilliant. The city underneath is awesome. Hope it returns in the next game as a retro course.
and my least favourite is wii, because boring and the music sucks
I love all of them, but DD was my first, so I love it the most. xD
I love the idea of it being over the sky, and the reflections of the sky. The Wii and 3DS Rainbow Road's are very close though.
I voted for the Wii version, but the 3DS is a close second. Both SNES versions and MK8's version are my least favorite. (I like MK8's 64 version, just not the new one.)
Wii.
Awesome for online, and the rainbow colors didn't bore and make me cringe after a while. I'm surprised OG N64 one is winning, I like it for nostalgia reasons but it's horribly long and has basically no obstacles except silver chomps. The WiiU redo was much better even if it doesn't totally resemble the old one imo
Double Dash Rainbow Road is my favorite one so far. I also like N64 Rainbow Road. MK8 Rainbow Road and Super Circuit Rainbow Road were good too. 3DS Rainbow Road wasn't bad, but I didn't really like it that much. I hate all 3 variations of SNES Rainbow Road.
F-Zero X Rainbow Road is also one of my favorite Rainbow Roads. When playing it with the F-Zero X Expansion Kit for the N64 Disk Drive, it plays a remix of the N64 Rainbow Road music, which sounds amazing.
I went with the 3DS's own Rainbow Road, simply because of its sheer variety that makes the track quite fun to race on it. There's also a nice balance between challenging and enjoyable. It never gets too boring for me!
My least favorite is the original N64 Rainbow Road. The overwhelming easiness, the dullness and the ridiculous length of the track (especially with 3 laps) all made this one devoid of fun. Thankfully, Mario Kart 8 went ahead and fixed many of the aforementioned issues.
The upgraded N64 Rainbow Road in MK8
is
baller.
N64 Rainbow Road was great, but it totally needed to be broken into segments and the upgrades were awesome. Nintendo is so good at taking old things and revamping them slightly to make them a better version of the old thing while never losing the old thing's flavour.
