So we now have 3 remakes of past Pokemon games. Pokemon FR/LG, HG/SS, and OR/AS are all amazing in their own right. When it comes to a true perfect remake however we all have our opinions. My first personal Pokemon game was Pokemon Silver, and when the remakes came out I played them to death. To this day I swear that HG/SS were the most perfect remakes of any game I have ever played. Perfect as in so true to the original it almost is the exact same game with a graphical touch up. Now the music, oh how beautiful the music is. I have gone on several nostalgia trips just from hearing the National Park theme, or the absolutely amazing Violet City theme. In conclusion not only is the game play just spot on, but the music is as well. Now after playing through about half of Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire I can already say that HG/SS remains my favorite remake of the series. Most of my complaints are with the music, and the layout. Now the town and route themes are for the most part spot-on so much so to the point to where I swear they sound the exact same as the GBA version. It's just the techno-y remixes of some of the songs in the game that annoy me. Those few Techno-y songs just so happen to be remixes of my favorite songs in the game (Route 113, Slateport, Dewford was too different, Rival encounter theme.) while I still hummed theme to death I still would have them rather been like the originals more like the other songs in the game. Mauville City made me mad, such an enormous change makes me angry. But that's just some of the game as a whole. Compared to X&Y OR/AS are gold plated with Diamond studs. OR/AS are amazing Pokemon games, and will be to some the greatest remake of all time but not me though. BTW Dat Verdanturf Town theme doh (And Contest Hall theme, the techno actually suits that song so well!!)
