I think there are many possible combinations. It does not only depend on the color but also the individual flower. The main three flower combo I have is blue pansies, blue violets, and white violets; I think it looks fairly nice.

i have a similar combination. most of my town has a pattern of gold roses, white roses and white carnations. i think it looks really nice
