Plot resetting is really tedious which is why I decided to layout my town and place down the necessary pwps before I start getting villagers again. But I found this nifty guide regarding breaking the "pattern" in plot resetting which made it so much easier for me that I managed to get Lucky in his desired area in less than an hour. (If you observe, villagers like to place their houses in certain areas of your town.)
are you by any chance talking about this?

and i already managed to cancel out one annoying location by time traveling back a day and building a temp house there lmfao

Wowwwww that is super helpful, thank you for posting! Just today I noticed the game seemed intent on giving me a next-door neighbor. After enough resetting I got Walker (was missing lazy + uchi), who I didn't mind having next door. But in the future, the link you posted will definitely be useful.
I spent over a week restarting for a town map + starting villagers that I liked :|

I don't have enough patience for real plot resetting, so I just make sure their houses aren't in a bad location and then move on.
It's rather fun prepping different areas after a new move-in, but part of me wishes I did have your determination so my town could be absolutely perfect.

i usually don't care, i just try to make sure they aren't in the way of any future pwps or destroying any major paths/gardens
but when it comes to the villagers that i really, REALLY love i wanna make sure that they're in a good location at least
because i know i won't decide to give them up one day right so it's like they might as well be in a picture perfect spot

I've never plot resetted. Although that might be me when I start doing it. Then again I'm not very picky with plot placement. Just as long as they don't destroy my hybrids!
