Or perhaps the people who would kill themselves over some creep on the internet's opinion should GTFO the internet?
Nicley put Nevermore
It's often not some "creep" over the internet. Usually it is the person's peers from school so the person being bullied really values their opinion and listens to what they say.

And I do wish kids were like you and me and would not let someone's words hurt them but everyone is different.
The campaign should be to help kids be able to accept criticism (constructive or not) without blowing their brains out
Like I said before, I wish everyone would just ignore any bullying or criticism but many kids have psychological problems or could just be depressed and any negative words can really effect them.

Kids getting worked up over cyber bullying and going to the extreme of committing suicide is really unnecessary and stupid. It's so easy to ignore/block someone online it's not even humorous. The easiest thing you can do is that, and just ignore the person. Seriously, killing yourself over some *censored.1.3*'s opinion is ********. This is the internet, people are anonymous and find it fun to say whatever the hell they want, but that doesn't mean kids should take it all to heart. To be honest, I don't think the advertisement is going to do anything but it should be allowed to air. Kids need to learn to not let bullying get to them, those are my 10 cents on this.

They should air that commercial, I for one think it's quite cool and informative, and I don't see why it's brutal.

I sort of agree with you but sort of not. Kids should just block people but they don't always and the person bullying will threaten them and stuff so it can become quite serious.

Also, I think why it wasn't allowed to air apart from it being brutal was because it's showing bullies what they do and they're probably going to do it more now they know they are effecting people.

I didn't watch it after what some people wrote :veryhappy: ...too chicken.

Anyway, could someone briefly write what happens in it, I stopped when she looked at the doll in the background and thought it was some Horror Film thing :O

People who really feel a problem should get help. It would be nice if there was no problem at all, I know that I myself shake things like that off fairly easily, but I can see how someone could get worked up on things.

That add though... kinda stupid.... there are plenty of people to talk to.

She sewed her lips together.

No blood or gore though, you don't see her sew them, just the needle (That doesn't even have blood on it).

You don't understand. The kids who commit suicide over cyber bullying and other related things very likely have a medical disorder like depression or bipolar. I know, I have both, and I've been through it. Maybe it doesn't bother you when people say mean things to you online or in person, but to people with depression, the feeling is amplified greatly. You can't comprehend how much being bullied can really hurt people with depression unless you have it yourself. I've nearly killed myself before, and often thought of suicide, and I probably wouldn't be alive today if it wasn't for my faith and my (at the time) best friend (who's now my fianc

Ah, lovely :X

She doesn't die though, right?

Anyway, on topic: This is a matter to be taken seriously, people have committed suicide for cyber bullying. If they really wanted to show the add, they should put it on at 9pm plus, because that may seriously scare some children.

No, not on the video.

Also, I think it's supposed to scare people and show bullies the damage they do.

Cyber bullying is stupid, I can understand how it upsets people but stuff like commiting suicide because of someone on the internet is extremely pathetic.

Cyber bullying is a bunch of BS.
People have a right to say what ever on the internet what are the teachers supposed to do about it?
Come to your house and take away your computer?
I rest my case on this subject without answering the question.
In the words of Peter Griffin "I HAVE SPOKEN!!!!"
And that commercial shouldn't be allowed to air. I just watched it and seriously its worse than an infomercial about Space storage bags.
Are you serious? I am sorry but cyber bullying is not BS. Many young people have committed suicide over what people have said to them on the internet so it is actually a really serious matter that should be taught in schools. People do have the right to say whatever over the internet and so they should be taught the proper things to say.
Or perhaps the people who would kill themselves over some creep on the internet's opinion should GTFO the internet?
true...

It's easy to say something is "stupid" until your put in to a situation where it affects you.

And cyber bullying is more than just the internet. Mobile phones are included in cyber bullying.

i honestly don't think this commercial is worth airing,it just shows a girl sewing her mouth, most kids will be like "wth is this?" other than being like "wow, this really spoke to me" imo.

That's disgusting :o
But it gets the message across of it being hard to speak out when you're getting cyber bullied I guess.

If you have a severe depression, talking to someone doesn't do *censored.2.0*. You guys can't understand what these people go through unless you have a disorder yourself.

And although I do agree with the video's point (to stop cyber bullying), I think the video itself was just plain stupid and uninformative. They took a completely wrong approach.
