Does the items you place in your basement count against the Happy Home score if I use it purely for storage?

Oh they don't? Sweet! The old game I used basement as storage. I saw DAs with elaborate basements so I assumed everyone used it as another room.

I use mine as a bit of a junk room, after filling up my beach and all my locker/museum rooms. Always been fine as far as my HHA score goes
