bare patches in my town?

Ive been trying to get rid of the bare patches in my grass, and i heard putting flowers on the patches grass would eventually grow back... ive been doing that for a while, but it hasnt helped. Any tips on getting rid of the bare spots?

Well I heard that starting dirt spots don't disappear... maybe that's why? o-o

I'm 95% sure those starting patches can't grow back.

Have these bare spots been there from the creation of your town? If so, those are permanent patches of dirt. If they were caused by grass wear, than the flowers will help regrow the grass. Takes patience, though.

Certain areas will always be dirt, Dirt under houses and PWPs grow back, unless they were placed on a dirt patch to begin with.

I've got the same problem. I never walk over certain areas and yet it still looks like a desert around here.

dirt can still spread out from starting patches (in other words, they get larger with time) and dirt also spreads from edges like around the river or cliff. but you can contain the dirt patches by planting flowers around the edges (or on cliff edges) and thereby kinda minimize the damage.
