Bamboo shoots?

Do bamboo trees still produce bamboo shoots in this game? I know you can dig them up on islands, but I've planted some trees and no shoots have popped up yet :0

They do, I just think they only produce them so many times or its very uncommon.

They do, once the bamboo is fully grown. They'll show up as diggable spots next to the fully grown bamboo once they start coming

Oh I see, all of mine are fully grown and they've been like that for almost a week without any new shoots ;v;

Took about three days for mine to start showing shoots. I've got 2 now.

What I wanna know is: can you shake anything out of bamboo trees? I havn't ever gotten anything like bugs or bells or furniture out of mine.
