Balloon Badge.

Ok, so I'm trying to get the balloon badge. I also looked at the Official Badge Thread but couldn't find any tips other than they appear at the far-left or far-right. I have tried this and didn't find any luck with it. I stood on the bottom far-right side of my town and waited at the 00:04 times and walked up and down the far-right of my map. Nothing. Then after 2-3 minutes or so, I walk to the other side of my town and look for the balloon while trying to hear the wind sound it makes. I've caught 1 balloon in like 3-4 hours. I think I'm doing something wrong, terrible wrong. I was wondering how some of you got you badge and could tell some tips and tricks. That would be awesome! Thanks!

I checked on Thonky and it says in 4's. I'll try 7's though.

It starts at the wall or from the ocean with times ending in 4. You can hear or see the balloon before it appears.
It ends with times ending in 8 but sometimes can take longer.

Abunch of time I left the spot early and went up to the top and than across. When I returned close to the same spot the balloon was there. Found that doing every day tasks worked better. Times that I found them were while I was looking for a bagworm near the cliffs. Other times were when a villager pinged me. Stopped to talk to them and saw the balloon floating towards me.

Think the balloons are like the tarantula and scorpions. Just hunting only for them didn't work for me.
The winter weather makes it harder to see the balloons. Some go along the fence and blend in with the light color balloon.
I finished the last player badge and went into a building when I got one. When they slowed down I save/quit or went to the island and than tried again. Some night I found 10 other nights I got 1 or 2.

Read that the balloons don't count on Bunny Day since they show up a lot. Not sure if that is true.

I found out that the silver balloons only count as one balloon. One player received her silver badge so I started keeping track of regular and silver balloons. I had enough regular and double balloons for the gold badge when he arrived the next time. He just gave me another badge instead. It was disappointing that the silver balloons didn't count and I had to find 25 more balloons.

Someone posted to wear headphones so you can hear the balloons better. I tried it and the music was too loud.
Wished we could shut it off the music for certain bugs and balloon hunting.

Well that odd because I had bronze and after bunny day I got gold on the balloons and I'm not joking
