Bad campsite villager RNG please help...

So, I've been having this issue ever since I got ANCH, I don't seem to get any campsite villagers. I've tried reaching out to Ninji on twitter, and other sites to get help but no one seems to respond. I am aware that there is a % or probability rate that makes out at 20% by the 6th day. However, my case is that I won't get ANY campsite villager whatsoever, until Nintendo comes out with a new update: let me give you an actual example of what happened to me. The day After the July 3 summer update I got a villager (Cyd), then I didn't get any other villagers for more than a month until the August update, then I got another campsite villager the day after that, and never again since. Ever since I started playing I noticed this pattern, I notice that I won't get any campsite villager for weeks sometimes months until Nintendo comes out with a new update which seems to reset my RNG for a day or so? And then again, like I said I won't get anymore until the next update...whenever that may be who knows. I guess I just want to hear others thoughts on this? Am I the only person that plays ACNH that has had this issue? I have yet to find anything on the internet about my specific situation, I've only seen threads of people who haven't had campsite villagers for 2-6 days, but in my case weeks, months? Can anyone just give me some clarity? Is this issue fixable besides buying another switch/ANCH game? Am I just the 1 unfortunate player out of 22 mil that has this Bad RNG issue?

I've only had 4 since I started in april.

I wish I could demolish the campsite, as it is useless once you've amiibo'd in who you want.

Honestly it's just bad RNG in your case. People who use the campsite method to find their dream villagers could end up time traveling years ahead before finding them.

I used to get at least one every week until the August update happened. Then I went a whole month before I got another.

You're just having bad luck...it has nothing to do with the updates.

You aren't using Amiibos I assume? If you are, then there's your problem. Campsite villagers will not appear if you've used an Amiibo the day before (the game thinks you're about to go on a 3 day streak of moving someone in) and I believe I read the % chance wise is decreased for the next two days as well.

You’re just having bad luck with RNG. That’s all it is. But if you’ve reached the point where you’re even considering buying another copy of the game then why not test it out by time traveling to see if you’re really not getting campers without an update from Nintendo.

Thanks guys, I already had a hunch I was just unlucky...and yes I have been considering getting Amiibo cards at this point, sucks that Nintendo can't/hasnt done much to do something about it but oh well. Again, thanks for your help - definitely makes my life easier anyways haha.
