Back into ACNL

so I was gone all summer working at a camp, I visited my towns on my bday (May 30th) but I'm pretty sure that was the last time I went to my towns...

I'm debating getting back into my town... but idk how I feel about doing all the work to get my old town with the same villagers all back on the proper time

anybody have experience with picking up where they left off? does it take a long time to get your town on track a few months? or should I restart my town? I don't think i can stomach destroying it after all the work i put into it... but it might be harder to pick up where I left off too..

It doesn't take too long to get it back where it was. Hopefully you had the beautiful town ordinace before you quit. If you did, then you'll have a few weeds to pull and some extra flowers laying around the town. You might have a villager that moved out. The only way to know is to turn that puppy on.

I've taken long breaks but never had a problem with it. I can link you to the method I use to avoid losing villagers and otherwise, I just have beautiful town enabled. Sometimes there are some things to do (reminding myself of what I was doing, going to Shampoodle to fix my character's bed hair) but then I get back into the usual game routine.

I'm working on my main town... I just TTed back to the last day i played and am fast forwarding carefully back to the current time... it seems to be working, everyone is still here

What you want to do is time travel as you are currently doing until someone wants to move. Then, after talking them out of it, save and quit, and jump straight on over to today's date - You'll have bed hair and villagers will mention not seeing you, but that will be all the damage.

You see, once you convince someone to stay, you can be 100% certain nobody is planning to move that day, so time travveling is totally safe. I warped over a yearnaway like that. ^-^

This worked and saved me a crap-ton of work... Thanks! and I can do it to my second town too!

I remember you too! I feel like you were super nice and helpful to me! what the guy said above really worked! it is gonna save me 5 months of time travel for my two towns hahaha welcome back to you too

I just did some of that myself, actually! It took a while, and I did lose a villager, though that was just because no one said he was moving, least of all him. I played all those days, even, so it was normal. It was about 2-3 months, but I'm glad I did them; it was relaxing, in a way.

Its worth getting back into! I got back into ACNL the day I joined the site, actually I just restarted my town because I wasn't too happy with my other one and wanted a fresh start!
