Baby Dolphin killed as people take a selfie

In Argentina people saw a baby dolphin at the beach. They pulled it out of the sea to take selfies with it, and as they did the baby dolphin became severely dehydrated and eventually suffocated. I think some people need to stop being idiots.

Thoughts on this?

It doesn't surprise me anymore. I've participated in actisvisim for animal rights before and I learnt the hard way that there is very little care for anything that can't talk and looks different. The sad thing is that a lot of these people are hypocrites because they care about something cute and fluffy like a kitten (or something as cultural as a dolphin) and don't lift a finger for a sheep or a cow. People who do stuff like this, whether accidentally or not, should not be allowed near animals. They're just causing needless harm. The poor soul.

Ignorance isn't an excuse but I do doubt they knew any better. It's sad sure, but they weren't aware of what they were actually causing. I'm more shocked by the responses some people give out of emotional outrage: ''Slaughter the lot of them'' ''I hope they all go in the ocean and a feeding frenzy of great whites show up. Chunks of bloody flesh for Jaws.'' ''****ing idiots. I hope every single one of you burn to death in a fire.'' I'm sorry but if you say things like this then you're not one bit of a better person than those tourists.

Saying things like that didn't make us feel or be any better for sure. We say it because that's pretty nasty for people to even do or think about, I'm sure even the uneducated/lack of humane has some sort of commons sense. Us saying things like this is not as bad as those actually taking into action of some sort of 'crime'
