So I was playing Animal Crossing today and then I put in on sleep mode without saving to get my niece from school which is less than 10 mins getting there and back. My baby nephew apparently climbed on the sofa and got my 3DS from the window ledge, ended my game and opened the Sound Recorder! I was upset!

6 hours gone! Including opening the Dream Suite and going to the island!!

All because my sister and brother-in-law didn't bother to watch THEIR 16 month old! And everyone is saying I'M at fault! It's THEIR fault! Watch your CHILD!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

After seeing several vents on people getting into TBTer's 3DS's, I think the 3DSs needs to be locked up somewhere when you leave.

The only time someone got into my 3DS system is that my brother hid an inappropriate picture inside my 3DS before I turned it on. He didn't mess with my data, but hiding these little pictures of an inappropriate meme character is pretty sick.

Kids do that, unfortunately. <= ) Just make sure that if you're not alone, save the game just in case. Nobody's at fault really. I'm sorry you're so frustrated, but it'll be alright! You'll get back to where you were in no time.

Wow, I'm so sorry about that, I would rage. D:

I remember when I went to spend the night with my friends, I brought my 3DS, but had been taking a looong break from AC. One of my friends apparently booted the game up without me knowing and I lost Rosie forever. :/

Bump!

So I'm a bit less pevved! But I still have to face Resetti! And if he digs up and messes up my blue Cosmos..... Lord Help Nintendo!

You can't get back 6 hours! I'm not even sure if I want to play again today! But I worry if I don't, one of my villagers might move away! I worry!

Oh, man, Rosie? I would have been furious. Also, babies, man. Babies. Never having one. The human population is doing just fine; I don't need to contribute.

If you're gonna keep your 3DS out of reach from children, please keep it in your room and in an inaccessible place.

How annoying :(, this kind of thing is one of the many reasons I don't have children nor will I babysit anymore for anyone. I hope Resetti goes easy on you.

Resetti is much... well, nicer in New Leaf, oddly enough. If it's the first time this has happened, he'll go easy on you. Don't sweat it.

This will be a first time after a series of close calls. I've heard stories of Resetti..... Hold me!:(

It's ok he's mellowed in his old age, just tell him your battery died or you don't remember what happened and he'll let it slide :p.

My dad thinks it fine to give my 3ds to my nefew he TTed and I lost Pashmina I always have it with me if he's around cause I don't trust anyone  Also sucks cause they don't understand

Prime example of why I don't want children. Sorry this happened to you...I hope nothing too dire happened when dealing with Resetti.

I meant first time since I opened the Reset Center. I actually turned it off without Saving on purpose on Toy Day after I got the presents mixed up. I turned it back on and got the presents right and Jingle's photo in in my house... By January the Reset Center was built but never have to be used!

Take your DS with you wherever you go. It is never safe enough. Children are not to be trusted under any circumstances.

Couldn't have said it better myself :P

Adding my two cents though, seriously, this is a very mild example but still one of many as to why I'm not going to be having children. I'm sorry that happened to you, OP. Babies will be babies, and they don't know what they're doing; it was an accident so I can't even be like "arggghhh the parents should have been paying closer attention" because by that same token I should be saying "welp, you should've saved, my friend!" -- but it would be wise, from now on, to keep your valuables extremely close at all times when you're in the same space as a small child. I've seen kids pour liquids directly on laptops, pee on surge protectors, stomp on gaming consoles, you name it. Be careful with your electronics ;_;

Oh no a baby grabbed a game, condemn all the little demons!!

On a serious note, I know how you feel. My 18month old toddler turned off my game once after I had been at the island medal hunting for 4 hours lmao. I was angry but I got over it. It's not like they know any better anyways. Should the parents have been more careful and watched their kid? Of course. Babies don't understand how to be gentle so be happy it was only turned off and not have a utensil or item of some sort jammed into the screen, breaking it. My kid now understands that she needs to be very gentle if I let her use it, but she occasionally gets a little rough but it's easy to just say "no, be gentle"
Babies are humans that DONT know any better, not little ass holes who just sit there doing things on purpose to anger you :P

It really bothers me too when parents don't watch their children, then they **** up something and it's not their fault because their are children. Like gosh, they don't have a free pass to destroy everything, at least say sorry????? And teach your kid some manners. sigh My mother would never let me go unwatched and destroy stuff. She taught me to not touch what is not mine, didn't even have to baby-proof the house.

Be careful next time. I would lock up everything I like anytime children would show up in my parent's house while I was living there. Same when I have my little cousins visiting in my apartment. Never let them out of sight if the parents don't watch their children. It's annoying to do their job, but at least stuff will be safe.

Sorry to hear that!

Make sure to save every so often next time o:
